Soup serves two purposes on any diet. One, it keeps those hunger pangs at bay and two, if the right ingredients are used, it can be quite nutritious and will help your body get rid of those excess pounds.

The power soup recipe we’ve featured here is again simple to make. Unlike some of the other soup recipes, this one is quite fast to cook. Remember that soup can be eaten in unlimited quantities when you are on the diet and on any day of the General Motors diet.

Ok, enough of me rambling on. Let’s get right to the recipe.


  • 28 ounces water
  • 2 green peppers
  • 6 onions
  • 2 tomatoes
  • A mix of celery and cabbage, chopped


In a pot, place water, onions, green peppers and tomatoes, together with a dash of salt, dried herbs and spices and pepper to taste. Place the celery and cabbage and let simmer until boiling point is reached and greens are tender. Serve hot.

There you go, simple, fast and tasty recipe. The right food and exercise combined with a diet like the GM Diet should have you shedding those extra pounds before you know it.

Can we eat dates or any other substitues to have some energy and a cup of tea because if i don’t drink a cup of tea i get a bad headache.I really want to lose weight but as I tried it, the first day was ok but then it was impossible for me to continue on the second day, i really didn’t have energy to stand.And is it important to do exercise or we can lose 10-12 pounds without exercise.     i started GM Diet yesterday. This is my first time . I want to know can we use black salt and pepper everyday in GM Diet .

    • you do not have to eat veg raw, so stir fry is fine assuming you not using bad oils, etc. Depends on what’s in that curry?

  17. Can I use tofu instead for my protein day and how much can I use

    • I have no clue actually, you may need to look up a conversion when replacing beef. Beef is really about 3.5 to 4.5 ounces per day. Sorry I cannot help, I just never recommend soy due to the health consequences. But yes you can use it.

Hello, I am impressed with gm diet plan, but little confuse as I am using for the first time so actually have no idea how to intake the fruits, vegetables and other things, should I use only as 3 time meal, and what if I feel hungry,I have reached day 5 but till now I can’t see any result, i haven’t lose any grams even, today is my day 5 I wanted to know instead of beef can I use egg will it work same as beef, can I eat 1-1 egg after a short break along with tomatoes, can I use brown bread instead of brown rice on day 7

    • we lay each day out and say how to do snacks and meals, please read each day carefully.
      the soup is there though any day at any time you need extra food.
      what time of the day do you weigh? what did you eat day 3?

      eggs are great ,3 per meal max

      No, brown bread/wheat is not the same as rice, it’s toxic and leads to weight gain and health issues.
